Don't give up, you are almost there

Don't Give Up On You!

Imagine someone running a race, and soon feels tired and exhausted but only had a few miles left to the finish point. But they fail to reach the finish point because they gave up and quit!

Life is a journey with many races we have to run that all have different finish points, or should I say destinations.

Some races will be tougher than the other and some will be shorter or longer than the other but don't give up.

You might be going through a storm, through a rough time but don't give up. If there's something you desire to achieve but it seems like it's taking quite a while, please don't give up.

Sometimes we go through a storm, or through a long route to our destination because it is meant to prepare us, to teach us, to reveal to us, to strengthen us.

When you are tired, exhausted, frustrated and you just don't want to continue always remember the Lord is your strength. Philippians 4:13 says "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me".
Remember that the Lord is the author and finisher of your faith.

Do you know that the people you read about today that are successful in your own terms and definitions also had their own storms? Had the hurdles they had to continue jumping...They have reached one of the amazing destinations in their life today because they did not give up.

One of the many reasons we easily give up on ourselves is because we are busy comparing our stories, our journey, our life to that of others. Read Don't Compare yourself to others  Please stop!

Remember this..God hasn't given up on you...so don't give up on you!

2 Cor 10:12 "We do not dare to classify or compare ourselves with some who commend themselves. When they measure themselves and compare themselves with themselves, they are not wise"

Galatians 6:4 " Each one should test their own actions. Then they can take pride in themselves alone, without comparing themselves to someone else"

Let me reiterate

You are unique in your own way. A thing might work for a person in a year but might take you two years to work for you. Something might look good for someone but not good for you. Do not compare yourself to anyone. Set your own goals. If you have your own goals, you can weigh your journey based on your own goals not the goals of others.

When you compare yourself to others you end up loosing sight of your own destiny, your own purpose because by comparing yourself you soon find yourself walking in the person's own path. It is okay to have people you can look up to and have their experiences guide you...but make sure it is simply a guide.

In a room of artists, CEO, presidents, accountants.etc. Everyone might have the same title, might do very similar things but regardless of that everyone is still different in their own way from each other. If you compare yourself, you will fail to make yourself stand out from the crowd and just be like the crowd.

Be confident enough to be yourself
